About Us

How It Started...

Founded in 1970, Ballet Center Utah, Inc. has focused on the proper development of dancers from small children to adults. With our adaptation of the Russian Vagonova Method of ballet we stress the importance of proper technique, allowing our students to execute all exercises and steps with precision.

Our instructors are well trained in the art of classical ballet and administer the utmost care and compassion to our students. They follow a specific syllabus throughout the year and help our students build self-esteem through self-discipline. Most of our classes are accompanied by a pianist.

We have our own theatre, scenery and props. Throughout the year, dancers will have the opportunity to wear costumes from our collection for performances at no additional cost to parents. All hair must be pulled up off the face and in a bun. No unnatural hair coloring is allowed for performances. Any visible tattoos must be covered for performances.

Although parents will not be allowed to attend classes, you may view classes through the large windows outside each studio. Our methods require total uninterrupted concentration. Visitors are permitted only by invitation from the teacher of the class. Students must be picked up on time after class unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
